Text Box: DARTMOUTH WOMEN’S FISHING COMPETITION-FISHING RULES AND REGULATIONS:
 
All fishing must take place in Lake Dartmouth, Lake Banimboola (Pondage), or the Mitta River to Lord’s Cutting. Fishing can be either by boat or bank between daylight and 5:00pm, Friday and Saturday. 
Score cards and cameras to be submitted to the Secretary between 3.00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. daily, Camera’s must contain only 2010 Women’s Fishing Classic Photographs. 
Each fish is to be photographed along side the measuring device, using a digital camera brought by competitors. Competitors may share a camera ensuring fish are numbered on the camera and score sheet accordingly. 
When Photographing fish on ruler current membership card must be pictured and visible. 
The first photo on your camera must be a photo of the individual, pair or team for verification purposes.   
The target species of the competition are: Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout, and European Carp. 
Pairs can be 2 people only. 
Teams can be 3 people only. 
Clubs can be up to 4 – 6 people. If more from a club, a second entry is necessary. 
Only the best 4 fish per day are included in the Club tally. 
This event is Catch and Release for all target species, except European Carp. 
European Carp must be killed and brought in to be weighed and disposed of. 
Fish must be caught on either fishing rods or hand lines using lures, bait or fly. 
Competitors may only use two rods at a time.   
Live fish are to be measured only using the measuring device provided in the sponsor bag, and the length recorded on the score sheet by the skipper. Length to be measured from the tip of the longest fin. 
Only the best two fish per competitor each day, are to be used for the competition. 
In the result of a tie between two or more competitors (with a fish of the same measurement), they will be declared joint winners. 
Competitors may only have fish measured that they have angled by themselves. (Transferring of fish to other competitors will lead to disqualification of those involved.) 
Competitors may have a male skipper/ guide to accompany them while fishing. The skipper is only allowed to help with launching and retrieval of boat and give advice on bait/ lure or techniques. The skipper must not handle the rods, or line during the hours of the competition. Skippers must not fish during competition. They may only assist with the netting of the fish if no other entrant is present. 
Competitors must always comply with the Victorian Waterways Boating Regulations, Victorian Fishing Regulations and other relevant legislation. 
 
Competitors must be in compliance with all regulations listed above. Breach of any rule will lead to disqualification of offending competitor.
 
Please report any breaches of the rules to the president / secretary on the day of the incident.  Offenders will be disqualified.
